Many people have had their lives transformed through changing dietary and lifestyle habits. Lyndhurst Nutrition can recognise the likely causes of many common health symptoms (fatigue, headaches, skin problems, poor circulation, muscle cramps, poor concentration, mood swings, food cravings ...) and they will be able to devise a tailor-made Nutritional Programme.

Prior to your consultation, this can take the form of a visit to the clinic or a telephone call; you will be sent a questionnaire. Make sure you allocate plenty of time to fill it in and be as accurate as possible. It is particularly important that you write down your current food intake, any medication and any existing supplements that you take.

The first appointment lasts at least one hour. The questionnaire forms the basis of your first consultation and will be used extensively by the Nutritional Therapist to evaluate your health and create your nutritional programme. This will encompass dietary recommendations, meal plans / ideas, relevant fact sheets and where necessary a detailed supplement programme.

It is advisable to have a follow up consultation within 4 to 8 weeks to monitor and evaluate your progress. The follow up consultation lasts half an hour unless your Therapist recommends otherwise. At this appointment you will discuss the changes that you have made and the effect this has had on your health. Further dietary recommendations may be made, in addition to lifestyle changes and perhaps diagnostic tests.

Lyndhurst Nutrition can help ensure that your shopping trolley is a healthier place. By showing you how and what to shop for, by teaching you how to read food labels, by identifying what to increase and what to decrease. These shopping trips take into account your tastes, needs and budget.

Home visits can take the form of the initial consultation as described above or a follow up consultation, also as described above, combined with a kitchen detox. The kitchen detox involves identifying and reviewing the contents of your fridge and cupboards. This can be an essential part of improving your healthy eating habits and it is undertaken in an informal and not intrusive way.
